Manchester City may have not had the best of seasons, but they’ve certainly been proactive in shaping their squad for years to come.

The likes of Abdukodir Khusanov, Omar Marmoush, Vitor Reis and Nico Gonzalez have all made the move to Manchester City in recent months.

And while Reis hasn’t had much game time of late, City are said to be ‘betting a lot’ on his future.

In addition, Pep Guardiola has promoted a number of academy graduates to the first-team, such as Nico O’Reilly and James McAtee.

Now, Fabrizio Romano has provided another exciting update on the City transfer front, declaring “here we go” on a deal struck over a superb young striker.

Mahamadou Sangare factfile

Sangare is an 18-year-old professional footballer who is currently plies his trade for PSG’s youth team.

He has been making waves in PSG’s setup with 10 goals and two assists from 11 outings at youth level this term.

Football Talent Scout’s Jacek Kulig has compared Sangare to Borussia Dortmund’s Youssoufa Moukoko.

Kulig also listed pace, acceleration, finishing, off-the-ball abilities and agility as his main strengths.

Meanwhile, Planet Football claimed last year that Sangare boasts ‘not just blistering acceleration but an exceptional work rate and intelligent positioning’.

They added: ‘Sangare is scarily complete at just 17 (at the time of writing) and his progress after just a year at PSG has been nauseatingly quick.’

Now, it looks as though City have got their hands on him, and it’ll be exciting to see how he develops at the Etihad Stadium if the deal goes through.
