Chelsea right-back Reece James has made up his mind about a potential move to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
That is according to 90min, who has claimed that Chelsea and England international right-back James is aware of interest from City in him.
So, what is being reported about Manchester City, Chelsea and Reece James? Let’s take a look.
What’s the story?
Well, according to 90min, Manchester City and Real Madrid are interested in signing Reece James from Chelsea.
While La Liga giants Madrid are looking at James as a potential long-term successor to Dani Carvajal, defending Premier League and European champions City think that he is the long-term replacement for Kyle Walker.
The report has added that James is “aware of interest” from both City and Madrid.

90min has claimed that James has “completely ruled out” a potential transfer to a direct Premier League rival such as City.
The defender, described as a “brilliant” and “fantastic” player by Arsenal legend Ian Wright, is not keen on leaving Chelsea anytime soon.
My View: Reece James to Manchester City – Never say never
In my view, Manchester City could be able to sign Reece James from Chelsea in the future.
Just because James does not want to join another Premier League club now does not mean that he will not change his mind in the coming years.
Players do change their minds about future destinations. Everyone thought that Mykhailo Mudryk was going to Arsenal, but the Ukraine international winger ended up joining London rivals Chelsea instead.
Chelsea sold Mateo Kovacic to City in the summer transfer window. So, I believe that the Blues could sell James to the Citizens in the future.
James is one of the best young right-backs in the Premier League and is only 23. Although there are injury concerns, I believe that, if the England international stays fit, then he could become world class in the coming years.
