Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City squad will look very different when the Premier League gets back underway in August.

Entering the summer transfer window, the Man City boss was keen to bring four to five new faces to the Etihad Stadium after a tough 2024/25 campaign, and during the opening phase of the summer transfer window, the Manchester club have already hit that mark.

The Premier League giants are not done either as Man City will look to sign a right-back next, while a goalkeeper may still be needed, should Ederson decide to leave the Manchester club ahead of the new season.

It remains to be seen what the Brazilian does, but there will definitely be other outgoings, with Fenerbahce now looking to pounce on the situation of a £50m star.

Fenerbahce submit offer for Man City’s Kyle Walker

After eight years in Manchester, Kyle Walker is expected to leave Man City this summer as the Englishman is no longer part of Guardiola’s plans, evident in the 35-year-old being left out of City’s squad for the FIFA Club World Cup.

Having joined AC Milan on loan in January, the Italian giants have opted not to sign the full-back on a permanent deal, which has allowed Fenerbahce to swoop in.

According to Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Fenerbahce have made an official offer for Manchester City for Kyle Walker; however, the transfer fee remains unclear.

Yagiz Sabuncuoglu is also reporting that Walker wants a two-year contract from Fenerbahce if he is to consider a move.

The journalist states that talks are underway with the player’s agent, and if the defender reaches an agreement with the Turkish giants, Man City have no problem allowing him to leave.

Jose Mourinho wanted Kevin De Bruyne at Fenerbahce

Walker is the second Man City star Fenerbahce have looked to sign this summer, as Jose Mourinho was also keen on bringing Kevin De Bruyne to Turkey.

It was reported that the Belgian superstar was offered a two-year contract with a salary of £21m (€25m); however, the midfielder turned it down.

Instead, De Bruyne opted to move to Napoli, where he can still play at the highest level and maybe even compete for the Champions League.

It remains to be seen what happens with the future of Walker, but for now, Fenerbahce are the only club to show official interest in the right-back.
