Danny Murphy believes Kevin De Bruyne could get into any team in the world.
The pundit waxed lyrical about De Bruyne and his ability to open teams up at will on FIVE’s official YouTube channel.
Cesc Fabregas also hailed the £400,000-a-week (Sport Rac) man for his tendency to produce the impossible on a football pitch.

Nedum Onuoha also noted how when the Belgian international is performing, it is more than likely that the Sky Blues will end up on the winning side.
Jamie Carragher went as far as to say that the 32-year-old is one of the best players in Premier League history.
Now, Danny Murphy has appreciated the magnificence of Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.

“If you hate Man City or you’re a Man United fan or [a] Liverpool fan and you don’t want City to do well, you can’t help but watch [Kevin] De Bruyne and just think, ‘Wow!’ Talking about world-class now, there is not one team in the world he doesn’t get in for sure”, Murphy said on FIVE’s official YouTube channel.
“What about his hair? What’s going on with that”, he joked.
“He could be the difference [in the title race] again, couldn’t he?”
Danny Murphy was quizzed about whether it would be “lazy” to suggest that Kevin De Bruyne could surpass the likes of Steven Gerrard, Paul Scholes and Frank Lampard if he wins a fourth Premier League title in a row.
“No, it’s not lazy.”
“I think what he does and what he’s done on a consistent basis puts him in any conversation. The only thing you’d say is if you’re looking at Champions League finals and stuff, he’s been in a few games and not…you know, injured.”
Danny Murphy pinpointed how Steven Gerrard has an edge over Kevin De Bruyne in Champions League finals, saying, “Well, that’s the only difference, really in terms of Stevie [Steven Gerrard] with the Champions League. De Bruyne’s won it but [he] hasn’t had the same impact.”
“But what De Bruyne can do in terms of opening up teams from anywhere on the pitch, I wouldn’t say it’s not been done before but it’s special to watch because he looks like he does it so effortlessly. It’s so easy for him.”
“Even that pass [to Oscar Bobb]. It was like he was just training and he went, ‘Ah, just put it in there.’
Kevin De Bruyne would be the first name on the team sheet for any side in the world
In our view, not only would Kevin De Bruyne start for every team in the world, as Danny Murphy said, but he would also be the first name on the team sheet.
Perhaps the only player in world football who is on the same level, if not superior to the five-time Premier League winner would be Kylian Mbappe, according to many.
But for argument’s sake, if Mbappe is kept aside, De Bruyne is superior to every other player world football has to offer.
Last month, Alan Shearer also sided with Kevin De Bruyne as a player he would prefer to play with over Jude Bellingham, who is arguably the most in-form performer in Europe.
Kevin De Bruyne could have his pick of the bunch out of any of the elite sides in Europe and stroll into their sides; such has been the level at which he operated consistently.
