Gianluigi Donnarumma and Erling Haaland stole the show for Manchester City in their 1-1 draw against Arsenal.

Donnarumma has earned praise from Rodri as he was impregnable for much of the contest before Gabriel Martinelli’s late goal while Haaland opened the scoring with yet another crucial goal.

Ultimately, Manchester City will be gutted about the result as despite the visitors’ valiant effort, they have to share the spoils with Arsenal due to Gabriel Martinelli’s late strike.

However, Pep Guardiola will be proud of City’s performance on the day.

Jeremy Doku was incredible for Man City vs Arsenal

The Catalan tactician will especially be proud of Jeremy Doku, who was exceptional for Manchester City against Arsenal.

The Belgian found himself in unfamiliar circumstances, considering City decided to cede possession for once — which meant he had to spend most of the game waiting for the ball to come to him.

However, as Phil Foden claimed, Doku is in terrific form and despite not getting much of the ball, he was sharp every time Manchester City used him as an outball against Arsenal.

The 23-year-old’s dribbling caught the eye, as he managed to give one of Europe’s best defensive right-backs in Jurrien Timber a tough time and managed to dance past the Gunners’ backline time and again.

Doku almost set Haaland up with a winner by playing a phenomenal through ball as well and had the Norwegian played a square pass to Foden, City would have doubled their lead.

Doku shone against Manchester United as well and his understanding of knowing when to be direct, when to win fouls and push the visitors was a sight to see as he well and truly shone.

Doku stats during Arsenal vs Man City

The former Rennes winger is having a coming-of-age season and on form, there are not many better wide players than him in the Premier League.

The stats justify why Manchester City’s £55.5 million man, Doku will be praised by the fans about his display against Arsenal.
