Gabby Agbonlahor has been told that a certain Manchester City player is putting in the hard yards during pre-season.
Currently, the only first-team players who will take part in City’s pre-season tour of the US are Erling Haaland, Jack Grealish, Mateo Kovacic, Josko Gvardiol, Rico Lewis, Ederson Moraes, Oscar Bobb and Stefan Ortega.
Despite a bulk of Manchester City’s squad being on an extended break, the pressure on the players will remain the same — winning every game while putting in the best possible performances in every game.
However, the primary purpose of pre-season is for the likes of Grealish, Haaland and the rest of their players to reach match-fitness.

When Alan Pardew stated that Eberechi Eze is a superior player to Grealish, Gabby Agbonlahor revealed that the latter is working his socks off in pre-season to return to his brilliant best.

The Englishman perhaps understands that he has got a lifeline by getting a chance to have a chat with Pep Guardiola and promise him that he will deliver next season.
Grealish is playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world while winning trophies galore; something he would not wish to stop anytime soon.
How the 28-year-old’s hard graft translates into performances will be interesting to see.
