Manchester City have enjoyed a significant amount of success under Pep Guardiola’s management.
After having very successful spells in charge of Barcelona and Bayern Munich, the 53-year-old was appointed as City’s manager back in 2016.
During his time at the Etihad Stadium, the Spaniard has overlooked 482 matches across all competitions prior to City’s Premier League game against Fulham, winning 356, drawing 60 and losing 66.
Guardiola has also seen his side win numerous domestic and European trophies and break numerous records in doing so.
With the Blues now on the hunt to break their own record and become the first side to win five consecutive Premier League titles, one pundit has made a claim about the Manchester club and their prolific manager.

Gary Lineker makes Man City prediction on Pep Guardiola exit
While discussing this season’s Premier League title race between City and Arsenal in a recent edition of The Rest Is Football, Gary Lineker said this on the matter.
He said: “It will be one of them, I suspect, or it could even be Liverpool, you never know.
“They’re going well as well, but I think Arsenal are becoming more and more established as a side under Arteta. I think you can see a gradual improvement.
“They’re bringing in players occasionally in the right situations and the right positions. And I think their time will come.
“City can’t just keep winning title after title after title. And that certainly will be the case when Pep leaves. It will be an incredibly difficult act to follow.”
What has Guardiola said about his future at Man City?
During the club’s pre-season tour of America over the summer, Guardiola said that while he doesn’t rule out extending his contract at City, he isn’t likely to spend another eight years in charge of the team.
As things stand, the Spaniard’s contract is set to expire at the end of the current season, meaning that this campaign could be his final one at the club if he decides to not extend his deal.
Having won six Premier League titles in his eight years as City’s manager, it’s easy to see why Lineker thinks it could end up being difficult for the Blues to carry on their domestic dominance once Guardiola decides to call it a day and leave the club.
Moving forward, if Guardiola does decide to sign an extension and continue his period at the Manchester club, this will undoubtedly be great news for everyone at City but not so much for any other side aiming to win the title.
