Manchester City have had plenty of their players to keep an eye on during the 2024 European Championship.
With more players (14) at the Euros coming from City than any other Premier League side, this showcases how strong the Manchester club’s squad is.
Despite that, other players in the tournament have been linked with a transfer move to the Etihad Stadium this summer, one of which has now found himself being spoken about by one big-name pundit.

Gary Lineker wowed by what Dani Olmo did in Spain vs France
While reflecting on Spain’s 2-1 victory over France which secured their place in Sunday’s final, Lineker had this to say on a recent edition of The Rest Is Football about Dani Olmo and the goal he scored in the match.
He said: “The Olmo goal was pretty brilliant as well, wasn’t it? I mean, the flick, the hook, the flick, the finish. I’m glad they gave it to him because at one point they were just giving it as an own goal.”
Olmo has shown at the Euros what he’d bring to City
The RB Leipzig midfielder has been linked with a move to City in recent weeks, with a report from Bild claiming that Pep Guardiola is eager to land a deal for the 26-year-old, who Josko Gvardiol has apparently spoken to about joining him at the Etihad, this summer.
After scoring the goal and delivering the assist for the goal that helped Spain beat Germany in the quarter-finals, Olmo scored what ended up being the winning goal in last night’s victory against France.
This gives a small but significant view into what the midfielder would bring to City if the Manchester club were able to land a deal for him during the current summer window.
In our view, Olmo has shown in this tournament that he would be an exciting addition to City’s title-winning squad.
