Ange Postecoglou has now made a comment about Manchester City No.9 Erling Haaland when discussing Harry Kane.
The Tottenham boss dropped the quote when speaking to Rio Ferdinand on TNT Sports.
So, what did Ange Postecoglou say about Erling Haaland? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, the 58-year-old was discussing Kane and the England international’s decision to leave Tottenham for Bayern Munich in August.
When speaking about the Bayern Munich No.9 in his chat with Ferdinand, Postecoglou said that only Haaland compares to the 30-year-old.
The man from Greece said: “The one thing I knew that wasn’t possible to do was replace Harry. There is no other Harry Kane. You can give me £200m and unless you’re going to get Erling (Haaland), there aren’t many of them around.”
As things stand, there really aren’t any other strikers who compare to Kane and Haaland.

Karim Benzema was up there, but his career is now fizzling out in Saudi Arabia.
There is – of course – Kylian Mbappe, although the France international is not exactly a traditional No.9 like the other three strikers mentioned here.
Nevertheless, Haaland should be proud of what Postecoglou said.
At the age of just 23, the Norway international has already cemented himself in conversations alongside Kane, which speaks volumes given how talented the Englishman is.
How Manchester City No.9 Erling Haaland compares to Harry Kane this season
Both Haaland and Kane are enjoying productive seasons in front of goal once again, although the latter has been more effective so far this term.
The Londoner – who Daniel Sturridge said is a more “complete” striker – has remarkably scored 19 goals in just 15 appearances across all competitions, while also providing seven assists.

Haaland is still having a fantastic season himself with 15 goals in only 17 outings – along with three assists – and the difference in quality between the Premier League and the Bundesliga must be taken into account.
Ultimately, we should feel blessed to watch two strikers as talented as this playing in the same era – Kane and Haaland will be remembered for generations, without a doubt.
