Jeremy Doku is Manchester City latest wing singing – and the star has been looking back at players who previously played in his position at the Etihad Stadium.
Doku completed his move from Rennes earlier this week to become the club’s third addition of the window.
Doku comes in as Riyad Mahrez’s replacement, after the Algerian departed earlier this summer and join Al Ahli.
City fans are really excited for Doku.
It’s been a little while now since supporters watched a winger with searing pace blast down the wing.
In recent times, Pep Guardiola has used the likes of Jack Grealish and Bernardo Silva.
Those two players have been fantastic.
But Doku will bring something different, and wonders if watching him will feel like a throwback to watching Leroy Sane.

Jeremy Doku loved watching Leroy Sane at Manchester City
Doku has filmed a video with the club that sees him watch previous wingers for City.

He dissects clips of them and at one point he is shown a clip of Sane.
“It’s a little bit like Sterling but left footed who plays on the left wing and then also plays on the right wing.
“Nice finishing, good dribbler and a lot of flair. I really like Sane also at City.”
Sane left the Etihad in 2020 to join Bayern Munich.
He spent four seasons at City, and wowed supporters with his amazing pace and dribbling.
Doku could be City’s next Sane
It is interesting to hear that Doku enjoyed watching Sane for City.
Because the 21-year-old could well become the club’s new version of the flying German.
Doku appears to be all about dribbling and being direct, and apparently he has explosive pace – particularly his acceleration.

If he turns out anything like Sane then City fans are going to be fairly pleased.
While he wasn’t always consistent, Sane did exhilarate at City and a lot of fans do actually miss seeing the 27-year-old in a sky blue shirt.
