It has been reported that Manchester City are now guaranteed to launch a bid for West Ham United midfielder Lucas Paqueta.
This comes from Fabrizio Romano, after it was claimed on Tuesday that David Moyes’ side would be willing to part ways with him for a fee of £80 million (£70 million plus £10 million in add-ons).
Now, it seems like Manchester City are ready to ramp up their pursuit of Lucas Paqueta by submitting a bid in for him imminently.
Fabrizio Romano: Manchester City are set to bid for Lucas Paqueta now
Branded as ‘magical’ by Claret and Hugh, the 25-year-old could be a potentially key addition in midfield, with City having lost Ilkay Gundogan to Barcelona this summer.
In fact, it was reported on Sunday that Pep Guardiola is personally keen on the arrival of the Brazilian international, with Kevin De Bruyne now set to be sidelined through injury for a significant period.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has revealed that it is ‘100% guaranteed’ that Manchester City will submit a new formal bid to sign Lucas Paqueta.

Further details claim that the bid is being prepared currently and it is expected to be sent soon.
The former Lyon technician is the Sky Blues’ priority target alongside Jeremy Doku, with there being a ‘work in progress’ on both potential moves.
Lucas Paqueta could be an astute addition to the treble-winners’ side
How well-rounded a player Lucas Paqueta is seemingly going under-the-radar and this might be of huge help to Manchester City.
The Europa Conference League winner could offer a ton of creativity to the Sky Blues, which will prove to be a godsent in the absence of Kevin De Bruyne.
But simultaneously, Paqueta is also adept defensively and winning duels, whilst being an expert on the ball in the first phase as well.
And in case Pep Guardiola aims to deploy him on the right wing, Lucas Paqueta is well capable of doing more than just a job out there, which could make his addition a smart one from the treble-winners.
