Pep Guardiola has now included Micah Hamilton in Manchester City training ahead of the UEFA Champions League clash against BSC Young Boys.
It was the Manchester Evening News who revealed that the 19-year-old took part.
So, what is the situation involving Micah Hamilton at Manchester City? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, the teenager has been rewarded for his superb performances this season with a place in training, alongside established superstars such as Erling Haaland, Jack Grealish and Rodri.
Hamilton, who captains the Manchester City Under-21 side, has impressively provided six assists in just seven appearances so far this season, clearly catching Guardiola’s eye as a result.
The Manchester Evening News add that the Manchester-born prodigy has caught the eye of coaches at the Etihad Stadium, with his efforts earning him a place on the bench for the Carabao Cup Third Round defeat to Newcastle.
Hamilton sadly missed a large chunk of the 2022/23 campaign through injury, which stunted his progress, but he has wasted no time this season as he makes Guardiola and his staff take notice.

The Manchester City No.92 could now achieve another landmark in his career by making the bench for a UEFA Champions League clash.
If things go well for the treble winners against BSC Young Boys on Wednesday evening, Guardiola may even decide to throw Hamilton on for his senior debut in the dying stages.
No reason why Micah Hamilton won’t excel for Manchester City
In our view, there is no reason why Hamilton cannot shine for Manchester City – the City Football Academy is now regularly churning out top talents who can make an impact in senior action, such as Rico Lewis.
To provide another example, Oscar Bobb has emerged from nowhere to make his full debut for Manchester City and Norway this season, while the likes of Romeo Lavia have proven themselves elsewhere after coming through the City Football Academy.

Going back even further, Phil Foden – who Bobb thinks very highly of – and Cole Palmer are examples of the excellent coaching in the City Football Academy.
Therefore, if Hamilton can stay fit and continues to produce, we see no reason why he can’t make an impact under Guardiola too.
