Manchester City are approaching their latest Premier League campaign under Pep Guardiola.
In their previous campaign, the Blues won their sixth Premier League trophy in seven years and became the first side to win four in a row.
Across their 38 league games, Pep Guardiola’s side won 28, drew seven and lost three of them, scoring 96 goals and conceding 34.
With the 2024/25 campaign now around the corner, a former top-flight manager has shared an early claim about the title race.

Harry Redknapp drops early Premier League title prediction
When asked in a recent video shared on the talkSPORT YouTube channel how he feels the next Premier League title race could pan out, Harry Redknapp had this to say in response.
He said: “I fancy Arsenal this year. They’ve got one or two new faces coming in to strengthen the squad even more. They’ve been so close the last couple of years.
“Man City have been incredible, for me, they’ve been the best team not only in the Premier League, in the world, over the last four, five years, they’ve been unbelievable.
“But I just get a feeling that Arsenal this year, I know Spurs fans wouldn’t like that but I’ve got a feeling Arsenal could win it this year. They were so close again and at one stage they looked like would do it but Man City just kept [going].
“Man City now, [Kevin] De Bruyne has had a few injuries, gets a few injuries now. One or two of them, they’ve won it over the years, how long can they keep churning out Premier League titles and looking to win Champions Leagues again this year?
“I think it’s a two-horse race, I really do.”
City and Arsenal will be desperate to win the title
With Arsenal coming second to City in the past two campaigns, finishing two points behind them last term and then five in the one before that, it’s safe to assume that they would be extremely eager to finally topple the Blues and win a title.
Last month, Mikel Arteta said that the way his side can take the league away from City is by winning all of their games, showing how much the Arsenal boss recognises the high level it would take to do so.
Now that Redknapp has shared his feeling that the North London club will be successful in their aim this season, City now have the chance to prove him wrong and make even more history by winning a fifth consecutive title.
