Arsene Wenger has said that the one player he would have loved to have at his disposal during his time as Arsenal boss is Manchester City talisman Kevin De Bruyne.
Eight years into his time in the Premier League, there is a strong case to be made that he is the outright greatest midfielder to have ever graced the nation.
So much so that Arsenal icon Arsene Wenger handpicked Kevin De Bruyne as the one player he would have liked to manage.
Arsene Wenger raves about Kevin De Bruyne
Branded as the ‘best player in the league’ by Gary Neville, the 31-year-old has dominated English football ever since signing for City in 2015.
De Bruyne ticks every single box one needs to in order to be considered as a certified legend of the game.
So much so that Arsene Wenger has said that he would have loved to have worked with Kevin De Bruyne at Arsenal.

“I would say many Arsenal players, but the one who is ready to move into this Hall of Fame, who has been consistent over the past seven or eight years is De Bruyne”, he told Premier League’s YouTube channel.
“He has been exceptional in efficiency, quality and decisiveness in the big games.”
MCN View: The legend of ‘KDB’ will be remembered for decades
Much like other Premier League stalwarts such as Thierry Henry, Cristiano Ronaldo and Steven Gerrard, the Manchester City midfield will be looked back as pioneer for years on end.
As Arsene Wenger pinpointed, Kevin De Bruyne has been elite for almost a decade, which highlights his incredible consistency; a rare attribute even amongst some of the league’s very best.
With titles to back his tremendous contributions as well, it’s hard to even try to argue against De Bruyne’s greatness.
At 31 years of age, the midfield maestro is still going strong and one hopes to see him do what he does best for a long time.
