Manchester City sold Cole Palmer in the summer transfer window, and it seems that the youngster is flourishing at Chelsea under head coach Mauricio Pochettino.
Cole Palmer is one of the best young players in England and was supposed to be a star at Manchester City for years to come.
Just like Phil Foden has become a big player in the City first team after coming through the academy, Palmer was also expected to make himself a regular for the Citizens.
However, Palmer reportedly wanted to move to Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
And, City, who won the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup last season, did not stop in his way.
According to Sky Sports, Chelsea paid City an initial transfer fee of £40 million for Palmer in the summer of 2023.
The 21-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, is starting to make a name for himself at Chelsea.
Praise for former Manchester City player Cole Palmer
Palmer scored a goal and provided an assist for Chelsea in their 4-1 victory over Burnley away from home at Turf Moor in the Premier League this past Saturday.
And Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino was impressed.

Pochettino said about Palmer on BBC Match of the Day, as transcribed by TCC: “He is a very talented player and he has the quality and he surprised me when I arrived because it was the day before the transfer window closed.
“The way the he reads the situations and what the team needs in every situation, he can be the player who can link with his team-mates.
“Still very very young but with great personality and he has the talent and the quality which we saw today.”
My View: Good to see Cole Palmer do well away from Manchester City
I am happy that Cole Palmer is doing well after leaving Manchester City.
Of course, it would have been great to see the England Under-21 international stay at City and grow under manager Pep Guardiola.
But, I wish Palmer all the best, even though he is at Premier League rivals Chelsea.
The attacking player is only 21 and can still grow and develop as a footballer in the coming years.
Palmer has made 24 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
The English youngster has scored one goal and given two assists in those games.
