Claudio Echeverri was signed by Man City for £12.5 million plus add-ons.
The 19-year-old Argentinian has the world at his feet right now, and it seems like he’s more than ready to produce the goods in the Premier League.
That said, rumours began earlier this week that he could be heading to Lazio on loan this summer.
Now it has actually been claimed that Echeverri will not be leaving Man City to join the Serie A side though.
And that has sent the City fans wild with excitement.

The diminutive attacking midfielder, who can also play on either wing, is exactly the kind of player Pep Guardiola needs to breath some life back into his squad.
The Man City manager has a lot of work to do with his squad this summer.
He needs to bring in numerous top-class players in order to recapture City’s place at the top of the tree in the Premier League.
However, Pep would do himself a huge favour if he integrated Echeverri into the first-team squad at The Etihad.
It seems like that could well happen this summer.
Man City fans took to social media in response to claims that the Argentine ace won’t actually be joining Lazio.

Whilst a second Man City fan said, “Thank god, there’s some sense.“
Meanwhile, a third fan took to social media platform X and urged Pep to keep Echeverri, “Just give him a chance in the first team man what are we doing here.“
A fourth Manchester City supporter said, “Yeah this will be great Pep needs to give him a chance to show what his got.“
The messages continued to pour in from the Man City supporters regarding the latest Claudio Echeverri update.
A fifth City fan suggested that the South American starlet could actually be the best attacker at the club, “There’s no world where current Bernado, Gundo, Foden, KDB, Savio, Doku, Grealish or any other attacker other than Marmoush or Haaland are better than this kid.“
Whilst a sixth supporter simply said, “Good, give him pre season and let him prove himself in the new team like Foden did.“
A seventh suggested that Guardiola needs to realise how good Echeverri is, “LETSSSSSS GOOOOO. About damn time we realise we have a gem in our squad.“
Meanwhile, an eighth Manchester City fan made his feelings very clear, “THANK GOD FOR THAT Pep please keep Echeverri in the squad.“
The Man City fans have made their stance on Claudio Echeverri very clear indeed.
What Sergio Aguero told Claudio Echeverri about Man City
The teenager spoke to a couple of his fellow Argentines before joining City.
He lifted the lid on what Sergio Aguero and Martin Demichelis told him about potentially moving to Manchester City:
“Yes, I’ve spoken to Aguero, I’ve also talked to Martin Demichelis. They told me it was a great club with amazing players and a beautiful history. They encouraged me to come here and enjoy it.”
Now the onus is on the young attacking midfielder to build a similar legacy to the one Aguero created at The Etihad.
Claudio Echeverri has absolutely everything required to become a superstar with Manchester City.
And it’s clear that the fans are desperate for him to be given a big chance during the 2025/26 season.
