Troy Deeney has revealed what Manchester City attacker Jack Grealish told him about Erling Haaland behind-the-scenes.
The Birmingham City striker was on FilthyFellas, as he was having a chat about the £51.2 million (Eurosport) man.
While talking all things Erling Haaland, Troy Deeney brought up what Jack Grealish told him about his Manchester City teammate.
What Jack Grealish told Troy Deeney about Erling Haaland behind-the-scenes
Ilkay Gundogan once said that the Norwegian superstar is an ‘amazing guy’ behind closed doors and perhaps more interestingly that he is the first one to reach training and the last to leave.
Clearly, Haaland’s professionalism has paid off, as he is the leading goalscorer in Europe with 52 goals in all competitions.
Now, Troy Deeney has also said that Jack Grealish told him that Erling Haaland was professional to the point that it was ‘boring.’

“I spoke to Jack, not too long ago. I was like, ‘what’s my man like?’ Obviously, I want to know about the strikers. He’s like, ‘bro, he’s so sick but he’s so boring. All he does is train, eat, sleep, repeat.’ He just has to be the best. He’s like, ‘the best pro you’ve ever seen, Troy.’
Erling Haaland could become the greatest striker of all time if he carries on like this
It is not a shock to hear Jack Grealish tell Troy Deeney about how much hard graft Erling Haaland puts in when no one is watching.
At the end of the day, natural talent aside, it is fine-tuning those minute details that separate the good players from the greats.
Despite Haaland just being 22 years of age, it is fair to say that he already looks like one of the greatest goalscorers we have ever seen.
With the double winner expected to only improve with time, if he manages to maintain the same level of work ethic, it would not be outlandish to claim that he could go down as the greatest No.9 of all time.
