‘How can you?’… Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp already moaning about Manchester City match

Liverpool will not play Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium until after the international break, but Jurgen Klopp is already moaning about it.

Klopp is not happy about one thing ahead of the Premier League match between Manchester City and Liverpool later this month.

So, what has Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said about the game against Manchester City? Let’s take a look.

What’s the story?

Well, Manchester City will take on Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League after the international break.

The game will kick off at 12:30 pm on Saturday, November 25.

City are the defending Premier League champions, while Liverpool are one of their main challengers.

The Citizens are at the top of the table now with 28 points from 12 matches. Liverpool are second with 27 points from 12 games.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is not happy with the kickoff time and has already moaned about it.

The German does not think that the match between two of the best teams in England should be held at lunchtime on a Saturday after the international break.

Klopp told Liverpool’s official website: “Now they are all going again, then we come back and then we can train once then play [Manchester] City. OK, we won and nobody can say I will moan but how can you put a game like this at Saturday at 12.30pm?

“Honestly, the people making these decisions, they cannot feel football. It is just not possible. If that is the moment where the world pays the most to see a football game, nobody has to tell us.

“I don’t know if that’s the case or not, I really don’t know, but I think there could have been a moment when you let these two teams, who have altogether probably 30 international players… they all come back in the same plane by the way, the South Americans all on the same plane [will] fly back.

“We pick them up [from] Uruguay, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, one plane and then we arrive here. It’s really mad.

“But the start of the season is the start of the season and before the game against Man City nobody will think about the start of the season because we just have to make sure we are ready for this game. So, it’s alright but not more.”

Now, this is not the first time that Klopp has moaned about playing in the early Saturday kickoff.

The Liverpool boss has previously complained about his team having to play early on a Saturday after an international break.

I admit that it is not ideal, but broadcasters pay a lot of money to clubs and want the time timeslot for the best matches.

My View: Manchester City will win vs Liverpool at Etihad Stadium

In my opinion, Manchester City will win against Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League after the international break.

While Liverpool are doing well at the moment and are going under the radar, City have played consistently well and are scoring goals for fun.

Perhaps defensively Pep Guardiola’s side could get better. After all, they conceded four goals against Chelsea this past weekend.

But, playing at home and with Erling Haaland scoring goals regularly, City should be able to get the better of Liverpool.
