How Jack Grealish really feels about potential Man City exit as AC Milan join transfer hunt

It is safe to say that the future of Jack Grealish at Manchester City is in a bit of doubt at the moment.

The £100 million signing is now into his fourth season at Manchester City, and the 29-year-old is still facing similar criticisms he got in his early days at the club.

Simply put, his numbers of 16 goals and 23 assists in 151 appearances have led many to slam City’s decision to buy him.

While he did have a fairly strong season in 2022/23 when City won the Treble, there just hasn’t been much else from Jack Grealish.

Pundit Andy Gray recently claimed Grealish has regressed under Guardiola, and there will be plenty of people who share those sentiments.

Currently, there is talk about his future, with one huge club reportedly keeping tabs on him.

According to Give Me Sport, AC Milan are now keeping tabs on Grealish ahead of the summer.

It’s reported that the Rossoneri are also looking at Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard of Arsenal.

Speculation is picking up around their winger Rafael Leao, who could be on the move this summer.

And there is a line offered regarding Grealish’s stance, and that is that the player is ‘open-minded’ ahead of the summer.

But given Grealish’s sky-high wages, it could prove difficult for City to offload him.

Indeed, it’s stated that Tottenham Hotspur – who are another club said to be keen on him – are unsure about whether they’d be able to afford him.

Things will only get harder for Grealish at Man City

It has been another stuttering campaign from Grealish – and things are not going to get any easier for him this term.

City brought Omar Marmoush to the club in January and so far, the Egyptian star has spent a lot of time out on that left side.

He looks a real livewire and, refreshingly, feels like someone who can mix it up.

Then, there is further competition in the form of Jeremy Doku, who is always a threat even if his end product still isn’t where it needs to be.

Savinho can play on the left as well, as can Phil Foden. And then, Oscar Bobb will also be back in match action again soon, which is another potential barrier to minutes for Grealish.

So it’s hard to see the minutes particularly picking up for Grealish, which isn’t particularly good news heading into the summer regarding clubs offering transfer fees.

Without a doubt, City will be taking a huge hit on him.
