Manchester City will be hoping to finally bring their torrid run of form to an end when they take on Feyenoord in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The news of Pep Guardiola’s new two-year contract didn’t keep the good times running for long as Manchester City slipped to a fifth defeat in a row when they were battered by Tottenham on Saturday.

It’s the first time Guardiola has ever gone on such a long losing streak but City have a great chance to turn that around in the Champions League.

Feyenoord are fourth in the Eredivisie so City should feel confident in finally being able to get back to winning ways.

Here’s everything you need to know about the fixture.

Man City vs Feyenoord team news

In some much-needed good news, City could finally welcome the desperately-missed Ruben Dias back to the fold for the fixture.

The crucial centre-back has been absent since half time of the Carabao Cup loss to Tottenham and has been as big a loss as Rodri.

However, it appears John Stones might be back on the shelf after he went off at half-time against Spurs this past weekend and missed training on Monday.

Jeremy Doku could also return on Tuesday after making his training come back but it appears unlikely. Mateo Kovacic, Rodri and Oscar Bobb are all still sidelined.

Prediction

City are in a turgid run of form, despite still starting most matches well, and are struggling to climb out of the slump. With Liverpool to come at the weekend, it’s quite concerning.

However, they should at least finally be able to end the losing streak against Feyenoord.

City are still vastly superior than the Dutch side and if they can’t defeat them at home relatively comfortably then something really is wrong.

Prediction: Man City 3-1 Feyenoord.
