Craig Burley lavished praise upon Jeremy Doku after Manchester City went past the finish line against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Speaking to ESPN FC after the contest, the outspoken pundit gave his verdict on the £55 million (Independent) man.

It’s safe to say that Jeremy Doku has a fan of his in Craig Burley, who acknowledged his magnificence for Manchester City in their triumph against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Craig Burley raves Jeremy Doku ‘threat’ after Manchester City beat Brighton

Branded as an ‘exceptional winger’ by Pep Guardiola after the clash, the former Rennes wideman made a serious impression against Roberto De Zerbi’s side on Saturday afternoon.

The Belgian international set up Julian Alvarez’s opener in the seventh minute, showcasing his devastating dribbling, which was a theme throughout the contest alongside his raw pace and directness.

After Manchester City left the Etihad Stadium with three points in the bag against Brighton, Craig Burley lauded Jeremy Doku.

“Doku, who was a huge threat, particularly in the first half. I mean, James Milner got taken off at half-time”, he said.

“You’ve got a 21-year-old who’s lightning quick, who wants to run with the ball and so that was a really difficult period for them [Brighton].”

Jeremy Doku tormented Roberto De Zerbi and Co.

Craig Burley was right to emphasise James Milner’s struggles to indicate how dominant the Manchester City new-boy really was against Brighton.

In fact, even after Joel Veltman came in to replace the veteran, he too underwent the same treatment.

When other plays like Pascal Gross tried to tame Jeremy Doku, they too were ripped to shreds.

The youngster is already one of the best dribblers in Europe and to add to this, his decision-making in the final third and choice of pass is excellent.

Forget Brighton but any team in the world would struggle to contain such a well-rounded winger like Doku.
