Rio Ferdinand has now sent a message to Joleon Lescott as Manchester City find themselves up against 115 charges from the Premier League.

The 45-year-old made the comments when speaking on his FIVE YouTube channel.

So, what did Rio Ferdinand say to Joleon Lescott? Let’s take a look…

What’s the story?

Well, the TNT Sports pundit told the man who left Manchester City in 2014 that he wants his 2011/12 Premier League medal if the Citizens are found guilty of these charges.

After Everton were docked ten points for breaking financial rules, many have put pressure on the Premier League to deal with Manchester City’s case – however, an outcome could still take years, due to the added complexity of this particular scenario compared to Everton’s situation.

Nevertheless, Ferdinand – who recently praised Rodri – has now made his demands known if Manchester City are found guilty.

The Manchester United legend said: “If anything happens with City and they get punished, Joleon, I want your medal. Hand delivered to my house and I’m wearing that medal. I’ll take that off Joleon. That Aguero moment has gone, right. So Joleon, just make sure you bring the medal yeah.”

Lescott made 31 Premier League appearances in that 2011/12 campaign as Manchester City lifted their first Premier League title in the most dramatic of circumstances.

Will Manchester City be stripped of titles if found guilty?

According to the Manchester Evening News, the Citizens are unlikely to be stripped of their Premier League titles.

Pep Guardiola’s side have won seven Premier League titles in total.

Manchester City could face severe punishment if found guilty of the 115 charges, with relegation a potential outcome, although it would be a shock if the treble winners have their silverware seized too.

Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Manchester City continue to protest their innocence.
