Alfie Harrison has now been called into Manchester City training by Pep Guardiola.
That is according to Joe Bray of the Manchester Evening News.
So, what is the situation involving Alfie Harrison at Manchester City? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, Guardiola recently drafted 19-year-old Micah Hamilton into training at Manchester City.
Now, the Spaniard has also rewarded Harrison for his impressive performances in the Under-18 ranks so far this season.
Bray wrote on Twitter: “Youngsters Alfie Harrison and Micah Hamilton also in the group. (Sergio) Gomez and KDB (Kevin De Bruyne) the only ones missing.”
Gomez arrived at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday supported by crutches – due to an ankle problem.
Nevertheless – while we hope the Spaniard returns to fitness soon – the attention right now is on Harrison.

The 17-year-old has shone for the Manchester City Under-18 side so far this term, scoring three goals, while also providing three assists, in just five Under-18 Premier League appearances.
Harrison has done most of the damage to opponents from a flat central midfield role, although he can also operate higher up in attacking midfield.
Who is Manchester City prodigy Alfie Harrison?
Aside from his position and goalscoring return this season, there is more to know about Harrison.
The Manchester-born starlet moved into the Under-18 ranks ahead of the 2022/23 campaign, which speaks volumes as he would have been just 16 at the time.

In terms of the specific type of player Harrison is, Manchester City’s official website describe him as a “skilful” and “dynamic” midfielder who possesses an “eye for a pass” – lofty praise indeed.
Ultimately, Guardiola is no fool – having worked with some of the very best young talent around throughout his managerial career, the Spaniard surely knows a gem when he sees one, which bodes well for Harrison.
