Micah Richards has now made a Premier League title claim involving Manchester City after Sunday’s 2-1 win over Luton.
The 35-year-old spoke about the treble winners on BBC Match of the Day 2.
So, what did Micah Richards say about Manchester City? Let’s take a look…
What Micah Richards said about Manchester City
Well, the Citizens were far from convincing at Kenilworth Road as Pep Guardiola watched his side record a first win in five Premier League outings.
However, Richards is still backing Manchester City to win a fourth consecutive Premier League title this season.
The man who made 246 appearances for Manchester City said: “The team showed their character, but that didn’t surprise me at all. Whenever people talk negatively about them, it just spurs them on.
“They might not win the title – I believe they will (win it) – but they will fight to the end. If someone else does beat them to it, then it is going to be very close.”

Manchester City now sit fourth in the Premier League after Sunday’s win – four points away from Liverpool, who are top.
Not over yet for Manchester City
As seen in recent years, Manchester City are incredible when it comes to keeping the pressure on in a title race.
For example, the Citizens won 12 Premier League games in a row last season to eat up Arsenal’s eight point lead and claim a third successive Premier League title.

Now – despite an underwhelming start to the 2023/24 campaign – Manchester City still possess the knowhow needed in a title race, and Guardiola also has weapons such as Kevin De Bruyne waiting to return.
John Stones should also be back to full fitness in January, while Valentin Barco could arrive from Boca Juniors too.
Therefore, the Premier League title race is far from over yet.
