Rodri has now compared Manchester City speedster Jeremy Doku to Bayern Munich forward Leroy Sane.
Speaking to Manchester Evening News’ Simon Bajkowski, the Spanish international gave his verdict on the Belgian winger after he registered four assists and a goal in his masterclass against Bournemouth.
After Manchester City’s Jeremy Doku-inspired 6-1 thumping of Andoni Iraola’s side, Rodri likened him to Leroy Sane.
Rodri compares ‘fantastic’ Jeremy Doku to Leroy Sane
Branded as ‘outstanding’ by Danny Murphy, the 21-year-old has taken to life at City like a duck to water.
Once again on Saturday, the youngster was simply unplayable, ripping defenders to shreds with his incredible dribbling and showcasing his underappreciated eye for a pass.
Rodri says that in Jeremy Doku, Manchester City have signed a winger who possesses a similar profile to that of Leroy Sane.

“Now we have a player with this ability that in the last years, we didn’t really have it, maybe when Raz was here or Leroy, this kind of player, these fast players on the side. But you know that if you want to play here, you also have to be associated with the players and understand the game so he did it perfect”, he said.
“Normally, we are used to this kind of player with his strength, to be a bit just one against one and not be [unselfish] in the team but he has both and it’s fantastic for the team. He is learning a lot. He is young. He has desire to keep growing.”
Jeremy Doku could match or even surpass the German
Rodri has a point and Jeremy Doku has the talent to reach the levels of Leroy Sane or even go on to surpass him one day.
Currently, the two-time Premier League winner is arguably the most in-form winger in the world.
However, it is fair to say that his time at the Allianz Arena has been a mixed bag.
As long as Jeremy Doku continues to evolve his skillset under Pep Guardiola, the sky is the limit for him.
