Jack Grealish starred in England’s latest 3-1 victory against Finland in the UEFA Nations League.

Grealish opened the scoring for the Three Lions during Sunday’s clash.

The Manchester City attacker made an intelligent run behind the Finnish defence and finished past Lukas Hradeky with aplomb after Angel Gomes found him with a wonderful through ball.

Manchester City fans lauded Grealish’s display against Finland as he was one of the standout performers on the day.

The 29-year-old started on the left-wing in a front three also comprising of Harry Kane and Cole Palmer.

Grealish was one of the three Manchester City players to start against Finland alongside Kyle Walker and John Stones.

Stat proves Grealish’s England revival vs Finland under Carsley

Carsley was seemingly delighted with the former Aston Villa wideman’s display.

After missing the Three Lions’ clash against Greece, the three-time Premier League winner looked fully fit and firing once again.

So much so that Grealish has now scored the same number of goals for England under Lee Carsley (two) that he did in his 36 appearances under Gareth Southgate after his strike against Finland — as per Squawka Live.

The in-form winger has now scored in successive away games for his country as well.

Ian Wright praised Grealish’s previous outing against Finland as well — stating that the direct nature of his game is a characteristic that he rarely displays in a Manchester City shirt.

In September, Danny Murphy reckoned Grealish will not start for England due to his lack of productivity in comparison to the country’s other left-wingers.

However, the decorated wideman’s recent goalscoring form suggests he is ready to take on the challenge and silence claims made by pundits like the former Liverpool midfielder.

Grealish played throughout the entirety of the contest and put a strong foot forward.

What Jack Grealish said about Lee Carsley ahead of England vs Finland

The Manchester City technician seems to be loving life under Lee Carsley.

Grealish heaped praise on Carsley before England faced Finland after his return to the national side was discussed.

“Of course, I wanted to come here and train well and play well.”

“I thank the manager, Lee Carsley for giving me that chance and having that trust in me. It obviously really meant a lot.”

“I think throughout my career when I have played under managers who have shown trust in me and communicated with me the way he has the last two camps, it really helps me. It makes me feel that the manager really does rate me and I can’t speak highly enough of him since I have been here.”

Judging by Grealish’s recent exploits in an England shirt, it seems he well and truly feels as confident as ever due to Lee Carsley’s presence.

Grealish will now return to the Etihad Stadium in the perfect state of mind after his latest heroics.
