Manchester City star Jack Grealish had a tough season last year.
After playing a key role in seeing City win their historic Treble, Grealish followed that up by only starting 10 of the 20 Premier League games he appeared in last season.
This then led to the winger not being picked by Gareth Southgate to be in England’s squad for the 2024 European Championship.
When recently asked about this snub, Grealish said that he disagreed with Southgate’s decision.
Following Southgate’s exit, interim England boss Lee Carsley has included the City star in both England squads for their two rounds of Nations League fixtures.
With the 28-year-old once again in the Three Lions fold, the Treble-winner has shared what he thinks about Carsley and how he feels about playing for England under his management.

Jack Grealish lauds Lee Carsley following latest England call-up
In a recent interview with BBC Radio 5 Live (via BBC Sport), Grealish said this when asked if he felt he had a point to prove during September’s matches against Ireland and Finland.
He said: “Of course, I wanted to come here and train well and play well.
“I thank the manager Lee Carsley for giving me that chance and having that trust in me. It obviously really meant a lot.
“I think throughout my career when I have played under managers who have shown trust in me and communicated with me the way he has the last two camps, it really helps me.
“It makes me feel that the manager really does rate me and I can’t speak highly enough of him since I have been here.”
Carsley thinks Grealish is ‘quality’
After seeing the winger score in England’s 2-0 win over Ireland back in September, Carsley said this about Grealish.
He said: “I don’t think he has definitely got anything to prove to us. We can see his quality. I think that will have done him a lot of good today in terms of getting another goal for England, and hopefully, he can continue that form.”
For Pep Guardiola’s side this season, the winger has appeared in nine games across all competitions, picking up two assists along the way.
Looking ahead to England’s upcoming matches against Greece and Finland, if Grealish can impress in these games again, this would show Southgate how wrong he was to not include the City star in the Euros squad.
