The in-form attacker singled out the Sky Blues starlet, branded as an ‘incredible player’ by Jordan Henderson instead of players that would perhaps be most to take home the title such as Riyad Mahrez or Bernardo Silva.

Instead, during a Q&A session with the Daily Mail, Jack Grealish instantly replied saying, ‘Phil Foden’ when quizzed about the player with the ‘best skills’ at Manchester City.

However, the former Aston Villa captain previously compared the versatile creator to Lionel Messi after his stunning assist to him in City’s 3-0 win against Peterborough in the FA Cup last season.

“It was unbelievable. It’s funny because before the game I was on the coach and I sit next to him and we were on Twitter and we saw a video of Messi, and he came up to me after the goal and said it’s just like we were watching before the game.”

Manchester City superstar Jack Grealish went on to liken Phil Foden to Lionel Messi after his lobbed assist, saying, “[The assist was] Just like Messi! Me and Phil have that link up”, he said, as quoted by the club’s official website.
