Josko Gvardiol has played with several of the best players in the world at Manchester City since he signed for the club last summer.
While Gvardiol also trained and played with a number of top players at RB Leipzig, the quality of personnel at City is arguably the best across world football.
The £200,000-a-week man would likely have noticed the gulf in quality between both sides.
However, being in the second season of his spell at the Etihad Stadium, Gvardiol would have observed how some of his teammates do not get the credit they deserve.
Pep Guardiola’s men have several attacking superstars such as Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden who often steal the headlines due to being some of the Premier League’s biggest match-winners.
Even Gvardiol seemingly started to earn his plaudits from fans and pundits alike once he started to get amongst the goals last season.

Gvardiol makes surprising claim about Man City-owned star
During his time at the club so far, the 22-year-old’s impressive performances have also been met with silverware.
The Croatian won the Premier League, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup in his debut season at Manchester City.
A few months into his time at City, Gvardiol admitted he was left surprised by Ederson’s distribution being as “incredible” as it was.
Naturally, other players would have left the Zagreb-born colossus stunned as well.
In an interview with Pro: Direct Soccer, Gvardiol was asked to name an underrated player at Manchester City.
The former RB Leipzig defender named Kalvin Phillips, hailing his qualities as well as his personality.
“That’s probably Kalvin. Kalvin Phillips. First of all, he’s a nice lad. He’s a really good lad and his qualities on the ball and without the ball, I think he deserves more attention but yeah, that’s football and something it’s not the way we want it.”
Josko Gvardiol is justified in rating Kalvin Phillips highly
Gvardiol’s opinion on Phillips could prompt many to ask why he did not take another City player’s name.
The Englishman’s struggles at Manchester City have been well-documented.
However, Gvardiol trained with Phillips for months on end.
As a result, the youngster must be more aware than most about the quality that the former Leeds United midfielder possesses.
Phillips has become a regular starter at Ipswich Town on loan and it would be ideal for his career if he resurrects his career under Kieran McKenna.
