Manchester City lost against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Arsenal in the Premier League before the international break, but Pep Guardiola’s side have resumed normal business now.
On Saturday, Manchester City took on Brighton and Hove Albion at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League.
City won 2-1.
Julian Alvarez and Erling Haaland scored the goals for the defending Premier League champions.
City ended the game with 10 men due to the dismissal of Manuel Akanji in the fifth minute of injury time.

It was not a particularly comfortable win for City in the end because of Ansu Fati’s goal in the 73rd minute.
That gave hope to Brighton and Hove Albion, who tried their best to find an equaliser.
However, City picked up all three points eventually.
I think that the better team won.
Josko Gvardiol and Nathan Ake react to Manchester City win vs Brighton and Hove Albion
Both Josko Gvardiol and Nathan Ake played in the match.
Gvardiol started on the left at the back in a three-man central defensive system.
Ake replaced Julian Alvarez in the sixth minute of injury time.
As you can see below, Gvardiol is delighted to have helped City bounce back, and Ake is pleased too.
City are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with 21 points from nine matches.
Pep Guardiola’s side are level on points with Arsenal, who are second, while Liverpool are third with 20 points.
My View: Manchester City will win Premier League title
In my opinion, Manchester City will win the Premier League title this season.
City have the best team in the English top flight and have the best manager in the league in Pep Guardiola.
Of course, the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal will challenge the Citizens, but I believe that, just like last season, City will get the job done in the end and win the title again.
