It has been claimed that it is “very likely” that one player leaves Manchester City.
As soon as the 2023/2024 season ended, transfer news involving Manchester City have gone through the roof — with even Kevin De Bruyne suggesting he is open to a move to the Saudi Pro League.
However, it was revealed that Jack Grealish is set to stay at City next season, despite undergoing a difficult past campaign.

24-year-old player is “very likely” to leave Manchester City
Last Thursday, it was guaranteed by Fabrizio Romano that there has been no indication about Julian Alvarez potentially leaving the club.
- Who is Julian Alvarez? The story of the striker who won it all at Man City before joining Atletico Madrid
In March 2023, the £100,000-a-week man signed a one-year contract extension, keeping him at the Etihad Stadium until 2028.
A fresh revelation from journalist Hernan S. Castilla states that “it is very likely” that Julian Alvarez will leave Manchester City.
But the City striker is not expected to sign for Atletico Madrid, who have been linked with his signature.
It was reported on Tuesday that Rodrigo De Paul, Angel Correa and Nahuel Molina had communicated Atleti’s interest in signing Julian Alvarez to the man himself.
Furthermore, a claim stated that the Spanish giants enquired with Manchester City about whether they could sell Alvarez or send him on loan; however, any such deal has been deemed to be “almost impossible.”
Surprising that this may be the case with Julian Alvarez
In our view, it would emerge as a surprise if Julian Alvarez decided to leave Manchester City; regardless of whichever club he intends to join next.
Alvarez started 31 league games last season and while he lost his place in the side towards the end of the campaign, it seems like he has managed to earn Guardiola’s trust as a potential starter.
From the day the Argentine signed for Manchester City, he must have been aware that earning a regular starting spot would be a hard task for him due to Erling Haaland’s presence.
Perhaps Alvarez has come to the realisation that he might have to sign for a club that lack a striker of Haaland’s ilk.
