Manchester City maestro Kevin De Bruyne finally returned to Manchester City training yesterday, with the team gearing up to face Urawa Red Diamonds.
The 32-year-old has been out of action since suffering a hamstring injury in the opening Premier League game of the season against Burnley.
De Bruyne, who also sustained a hamstring injury against Inter in last season’s Champions League final against Inter, underwent surgery earlier this year.
He’s on course to return to action next month.
City fans are now allowing themselves to get excited, with the star actually now back in training…
Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne posts on Instagram as he returns to Manchester City training

De Bruyne was welcomed back into the fray yesterday by his teammates on the eve of the game with Japanese outfit Urawa.
The Belgian star is set to make his return to first-team action for City in January, and won’t be playing tonight or against Fluminense on Friday should City reach the Club World Cup final.
De Bruyne’s return cannot come soon enough for Pep Guardiola.
The team have been faltering in recent weeks in the Premier League. The defence has come under the microscope, but City have also had trouble with chance creation at times. Arguably, the quality of the chances being created just hasn’t been good enough.
De Bruyne will hopefully be able to help City on that front, although it could take him a bit of time to get back up to speed.
It has been a frustrating period for him being on the sidelines, and his happiness to be back in training was evident in the message he sent on social media earlier today. Uploading a few pictures, he wrote ‘That feeling’ along with the heart and football emojis
De Bruyne return will be huge
Even if it takes De Bruyne some time to get up to speed, him just being back in the team will provide a huge psychological boost for City.
De Bruyne has been missed a lot since he got injured.
The £350,000-a-week star is obviously a world-class player and his creativity was always going to be very difficult to replicate.
Hopefully, City’s season can turn a corner once he starts to get minutes again. Roy Keane said at the weekend that his return could help fire City to a fourth straight Premier League title, and you would not bet against him helping to do that.
