Manchester City target Warren Zaire-Emery will now be signing a new contract at Paris Saint-Germain.
That is according to Fabrizio Romano.
So, what is the situation involving Manchester City and Warren Zaire-Emery? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, it was Romano who claimed that Manchester City asked about the PSG No.33 during the summer transfer window when the French giants enquired over Bernardo Silva.
Pep Guardiola was offered Gianluigi Donnarumma and Marco Verratti in return for the Portugal international, but the Spaniard was only interested in taking Zaire-Emery from the Parc des Princes.
Now, the 17-year-old sensation is set to sign a new contract in Paris.
Romano wrote: “Warren Zaire-Emery will sign new long term deal at Paris Saint-Germain soon. He’s key part of the project, wanted as face of the new era by the club, and especially by Nasser Al Khelaifi.”

The France Under-21 international has quickly become one of PSG’s most important players after emerging from the youth ranks.
In 11 appearances so far this season, Zaire-Emery has impressively provided five assists, including three in three UEFA Champions League outings.
Manchester City have no need for Warren Zaire-Emery just yet
While it would have been a remarkable bit of business had Manchester City lured Zaire-Emery to the Etihad Stadium, it is probably for the best that he signs a new contract at PSG.
The €40m (£35m) rated talent still has a lot of developing to do, and there is no better place for him to progress right now than at PSG, where he is settled and playing every single week.

At Manchester City, Zaire-Emery would have to put up with frequent rotation and, presumably, an initial backup role to the likes of Rodri, which might hamper his development.
Hopefully, Manchester City get a genuine chance to sign the Frenchman later down the line, when his immense potential has been fulfilled.
