Manchester City have set their sights on Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White as they look to strengthen their ranks this summer.
Manchester City are set to bid farewell to midfield legend Kevin De Bruyne when his contract expires at the end of the season.
The Citizens have been linked with a number of players who’d be tasked with stepping into the Belgian’s shoes, including Gibbs-White.
The Athletic believe Man City admire Gibbs-White and could make a move to sign him this summer as a replacement for De Bruyne.
Now, Kyle Walker has given his verdict on Gibbs-White in the wake of his brilliant efforts for Nottingham Forest this season.

Kyle Walker says Manchester City target Morgan Gibbs-White has ‘all the ability’
The Man City defender spoke with Kyle Walker Podcast co-host Michael Brown about some of Forest’s key players in their Europe-chasing campaign.
“Forest what a fantastic season… unbelievable,” said Walker, as Brown agreed and praised Anthony Elanga and Morgan Gibbs-White.
Brown then asked Walker whether Gibbs-White could “go all the way”, and Walker said: “Yeah, he’s got the ability, he’s got the ability.
“For a player that I watched at Sheffield United to, kind of, be cast aside from Wolves, to then go to Sheffield United, to then go to Forest and then do what he’s done, break into the England team.
“You know, he’s got all the ability, but like Elanga, (Callum) Hudson-Odoi, Chris Wood… who would ever thought that he’d be notching the goals that he’s notched in this season? So, I think a lot of them…”
Ashley Cole also recently praised Gibbs-White, saying: “If you look at the potential of the player, again, he can do everything.
“He can run forwards, he can run backwards, and we always speak about that motivation to run backwards.
“He can unlock defences, he can score goals and assists, so there’s not a lot he can’t do.
“I’m not surprised a top team like Manchester City are chasing him and, similarly, Morgan Rogers as well.”
How much could Manchester City pay for Morgan Gibbs-White?
Gibbs-White would be a great signing for City, without a doubt.
He’s a world-class talent who is heading into his prime and is already fully proven at Premier League level.
However, the bad news for City is that – perhaps unsurprisingly – he will not be available for cheap. Far from it, in fact.
Manchester City News sources understand that Forest would want a figure in the £100million bracket for Gibbs-White.
With Arsenal having paid West Ham £105million for Declan Rice, it’s not surprising that Forest are basing their valuation of Gibbs-White on that deal.
