Jeremy Doku has lavished praise upon Manchester City and Belgium teammate Kevin De Bruyne.
Speaking to the City Magazine as part of their October issue, he had his say on the £54 million (Independent) man.
Now, Jeremy Doku has lauded Kevin De Bruyne, who is yet to play alongside at Manchester City due to Pep Guardiola confirming the status of his long-term injury in August.
Jeremy Doku raves about ‘legend’ Kevin De Bruyne
Branded as ‘outstanding’ by Virgil van Dijk (via The Overlap), the 32-year-old has been widely regarded as the best midfielder in the world for years on end.
So much so that many believe he is the greatest midfielder to have ever graced the Premier League.

Now, Jeremy Doku has showered Kevin De Bruyne with praise, saying, “Kevin’s a top player and a legend for Belgian people and for everyone who loves football, I think. We are very happy and proud to have him represent our country.
Jeremy Doku also gave an insight into his initial conversations with Kevin De Bruyne in the national team set-up, saying, “I think the first time we spoke was when I played in the national team with him for the first time and he just said when he gives me the ball -and if I’m in a zone where I was one-on-one with a defender – just go! He also assisted my first goal for the national team.”
“I can’t wait, and I know I will learn a lot from him. I’ve enjoyed playing alongside Kevin for Belgium and I will enjoy playing alongside him with City. He can provide an assist from anywhere on the pitch which means I’ll score more goals. I can’t wait to line up with him again and like everyone at City, I hope he recovers quickly.”
Jeremy Doku could hit new heights at Manchester City when he plays alongside the midfield maestro
The return of Kevin De Bruyne could play a huge role in Jeremy Doku evolving into a goalscorer.
No player in world football possesses the treble-winner’s range of passing and final ball, including any midfielder at City.
Once De Bruyne is fit and firing once, his countryman could use his unstoppable speed to get on the end of his passes by running in behind defences and bagging goals, much like other pacey wingers like Sane and Sterling used to.
