Liverpool and Arsenal should be very worried if Man City sign player who Kyle Walker loves

Based on the signings they have made this summer, Manchester City have sent a message to both Liverpool and Arsenal that they are prepared to win the Premier League next season.

With Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola looking rejuvenated after an underwhelming previous campaign as well, it would take a brave man to discount the Sky Blues in the title race.

Big-hitters like Erling Haaland are determined ahead of next season as well.

What should worry both Liverpool and Arsenal is that Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Rayan Cherki all seem to fit into Guardiola’s tactical setup, based on their displays at the FIFA Club World Cup.

If Man City sign Tino Livramento, Liverpool and Arsenal should be concerned

Tino Livramento is next on Manchester City’s shortlist and he could be a signing that could help guide Manchester City to the league title.

Manchester City believe they could sign Livramento this summer and the concern for both Liverpool and Arsenal should be that he addresses arguably the biggest problem position in their squad at right-back, as Matheus Nunes, a midfielder is their first-choice option.

While others might point to the wide areas, Jeremy Doku could explode into life next season, Savinho is just 21 and even if the Brazilian fails to impress, Foden has previously thrived as an inside forward.

Furthermore, Omar Marmoush could be tasked to play as a left-sided inside forward as well, a position that has suited him to a tee since his move to the Etihad Stadium.

Considering Kyle Walker could leave on loan or even permanently and has underwhelmed for the past two campaigns, Livramento would be a massive upgrade on the veteran if Manchester City were to sign him.

The Englishman is one of the best full-backs in the league, who fits Pep Guardiola’s system as well due to excelling on both flanks, being solid defensively and excellent further forward, capable of taking on his man for fun and whipping in dangerous balls into the box.

Last season, Livramento’s numbers did not make for the best reading but he is still 22 and playing in a superior Manchester City side could get the best out of him.

With Ashley Cole tipping Livramento to reach the top, there might not be many better stamps of approval for a young full-back.

Kyle Walker claimed Tino Livramento looks like a ‘great player’

Furthermore, on the Kyle Walker Podcast, the veteran also sang his praises back in May.

“You also have Tino who’s at Newcastle who shouldn’t be disregarded, he’s had a fantastic season and looks like a great player.”

Only time will tell whether Manchester City end up signing Livramento but he could be the signing that hands them the advantage over Liverpool and Arsenal to go all the way in the title fight next season.
