The Manchester City duo were terrific on derby day

Gary Neville was right to shower praise on both Jack Grealish and Phil Foden, who were one of the standouts for Manchester City in their latest victory against Manchester United.

Grealish certainly deserves a special mention for his performances after their have been recent soundings about him potentially losing his place in the side due to Doku’s electric start to life in sky blue.

The former Aston Villa captain tore Diogo Dalot to shreds, drifting inside and constantly taking on his man.

Jack Grealish’s decision-making was simply exceptional on the day as he knew exactly when to beat his defender in a 1v1 situation and when to find Bernardo Silva on the overlap.

Ultimately, the Englishman’s glittering partnership with Bernardo down the left flank is what led to Haaland’s second goal of the game.

As for Phil Foden, his technical security was phenomenal on the day as he continues to showcase a real sense of maturity in his game, be it out wide or centrally.

And of course, Foden bagged a goal once again on derby day, which was well-deserved after yet another bright outing from him.
