‘Machine’: Cole Palmer says 23-year-old Manchester City player ‘unbelievable’ in training

Cole Palmer may have left Manchester City for Chelsea in the summer transfer window, but there is one particular Etihad Stadium star that he remembers fondly.

Chelsea signed Cole Palmer from Manchester City in the summer of 2023.

Apparently, Palmer wanted to leave City and they did not stop him.

City manager Pep Guardiola reportedly thinks that Oscar Bobb is a better prospect than the 21-year-old.

Palmer, who can play as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, came through the City youth system.

The 21-year-old played his role for City last season when they won the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup.

And one particular City star has left a lasting impression on Palmer.

Erling Haaland.

Palmer has described the 23-year-old Norway international striker as a “machine”, adding that the youngster is “unbelievable” in training.

The Chelsea youngster said about Haaland on SkySports: “Machine.

“Goalscoring machine, his build, his physical appearance, everything.”

When how Haaland was in training, Palmer said: “Unbelievable.”

My View: Erling Haaland is a world-class striker

Erling Haaland is only 23 now, but I believe that he is already a world-class striker.

I have no doubt whatsoever that the Manchester City and Norway international striker is one of the best players on the planet.

Haaland would get into any team.

He would just walk into it.

There is speculation that Lionel Messi will win the Ballon d’Or.

I believe that had Messi not won the 2022 Qatar World Cup with Argentina, then Haaland would have been the favourite for the Ballon d’Or.

The Norwegian star scored 52 goals in all competitions last season, including 36 in the Premier League.

Haaland was also the top scorer in the UEFA Champions League last season.

City won the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup last campaign.

It would not be easy for Pep Guardiola’s side to do the treble again this season, but you just never know.

It would be an unbelievable achievement.

And, in my opinion, Haaland would have to be just as good as he was last season, if not better.
