Speaking on the FIVE YouTube channel, the well-known pundit had his say on the Manchester City gem.

Rio Ferdinand says Cole Palmer actually has ‘mad confidence’
The Manchester United legend recently lauded the youngster’s display against Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup, as he bagged the equaliser and put in one hell of a performance as well.
In the Community Shield against Arsenal as well, the Englishman scored an absolute scorcher at Wembley Stadium.
The TNT Sports pundit initially said, “One guy I want to talk about is Cole Palmer. Interesting to see how it plays out this window. I think he just wants to play more regular football.”
Rio Ferdinand also pinpointed how confident Cole Palmer really is after watch him warming up ahead of Manchester City’s clash against Sevilla.

“Mad talent. Do you know what I like about him? He’s got the mad confidence. He comes out for the warm-up before a game and he knows Joleon [Lescott] really well from being his coach at the 21s. But he walks out for the warm-up and my man’s got his shorts halfway down his bum, and he’s just cracking jokes on the side with Joleon.”
“He’ll hit a shot and look at Joleon, and say [gestures showing a smug pose], like if you bang it top corner or something like that.”
On the pitch as well, Cole Palmer has always come across as fearless in terms of expressing himself, which makes the revelation from Rio Ferdinand not come as a major surprise.
Ultimately, it is this self-belief that will take Palmer right to the top as in terms of his natural talent, it is clear to see that he has superstar potential.
