Manchester City are weighing up a move for Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze – a player who Micah Richards is a really big fan of.
It has been reported that City’s proposed move of Lucas Paqueta of West Ham United is now completely off.
And so City are looking at other options, with just over a week to go in the summer window.
And their search has seemingly led them to Eze.
City were said to be looking at Eze’s teammate Michael Olise earlier in the window. But the winger signed a new contract at Selhurst Park.
But now, Pep Guardiola could make a beeline for the Eagles’ number 10 – and such a move would like;y please Micah Richards…
Micah Richards is a big fan of potential Man City target Eberechi Eze
In 2021, after a Premier League game between Crystal Palace and Sheffield United, Richards raved about Eze.

In that game, Eze scored one of the best solo goals seen in the Premier League in recent memory.
Eze picked the ball up inside his own half and the slalomed all the way to the Sheffield United penalty area.
He placed his effort into the bottom far corner from the edge of the box, for a truly outstanding goal.
After the game, Richards said: “He’s a magician isn’t he? The way he took the second goal. He took his touch and then turned and went on. He’s honestly a really good talent.”
Eze would be such a great signing for City
Just as Olise would have done, Eze would make a fantastic signing for City.
He’s got a few years on Olise though and is a more mature player.
There is probably a greater chance of him making a bigger impact right now than the younger Olise would have done.
Eze is a tremendous ball carrier and a fine technician.
It would be so exciting to see him in a City shirt, but Palace will no doubt be very opposed to losing him.
