One player heavily linked with Manchester City was the subject of a meeting earlier this week between his agent and a European heavyweight.
City fans are yet to see a new player walk through the door this summer.
A handful of young players have departed, but regarding incomings it has been all quiet – but the situation will hopefully change soon.
Confirmation of winger Savio is expected before long, with the player having been spotted in Manchester.
One other player some are hoping to see arrive this summer is Dani Olmo, who has just become a Euro 2024 champion with Spain.
The player is admired by Pep Guardiola, although some members of the board reportedly have some concerns about his injury record.
Competition for Olmo’s signature is strong, and one report’s claim may suggest City will need to get a move on if they want to sign him.
Dani Olmo’s agent met with Barcelona on Tuesday, but Man City still an option

It has been reported by Mundo Deportivo that Olmo’s agent Juanma Lopez actually met with Barcelona’s sporting director Deco on Tuesday, to discuss a potential transfer.
Olmo came from Barcelona’s academy, and the feeling is that the player would like to return.
He has a release clause of £51 million, and RB Leipzig recently pushed the expiry date of that clause back a bit to July 20.
Barcelona consider Olmo a great market opportunity. But in a potential boost for City, they also really want to sign Nico Williams.
Williams, who also shone at Euro 2024 alongside Olmo, is really liked by Barca. But the European giants’ financial issues are well documented. They may well not be able to sign both players.
Mundo say ‘been progress on possible contractual conditions’.
But the publication also say that there are ‘good offers’ for Olmo from Manchester City and Bayern Munich, two teams with a greater potential of signing Olmo ‘without discounts’.
Time could be of the essence for City
It sounds as though Barcelona are really keen to snap up Olmo, but it is not straightforward for them due to their financial problems, which is good news for City.
But the fact Olmo’s agent has met with Deco might just mean time is of the essence for City if they do indeed want to get Olmo in.
The 26-year-old really is a top player. At Euro 2024, Ally McCoist hailed him as ‘magnificent’, and there is a feeling now that he is ready for a move to bigger club after three years with Leipzig.
It has been reported that Pep is a bit reluctant to sign Olmo while Kevin De Bruyne is still at the club.
However, given the interest from other clubs, City might decide to press ahead so that they don’t miss out.
