Cherki has cost Manchester City £33 million and the Sky Blues fans believe he is set to wow them after the 21-year-old’s signing was confirmed.

A third Manchester City fan described Cherki as “the signing of the summer” already: “Let’s go! That’s my signing of the summer! Can’t wait to watch him play next season!”
Manchester City chose not to sign Florian Wirtz, a decision that drew praise from a fourth fan when seeing that Hugo Viana has sealed the Frenchman’s signing among others at cost-effective fees: “Imagine getting Cherki, Reijnders and Ait-Nouri for less than Wirtz. Makes so much sense now why we pulled out of that deal.”
A fifth supporter sent the youngster a straightforward message that read: “Go and make yourself a legend.”
Finally, a sixth Manchester City fan admitted that he cannot wait to watch Cherki play week in and week out for his beloved club: “Genuinely can’t wait to watch this lad play football every week next season.”
