Kyle Walker’s Manchester City career is coming to an end.
The right-back’s time at the Etihad Stadium has been nothing short of legendary as the Englishman won everything in Manchester, which has helped him cement his place as one of the greatest full-backs to ever play in the Premier League.
However, last season was evidence that Father Time has caught up with the 35-year-old, and with Walker jumping ship to AC Milan during City’s struggles, Pep Guardiola made the decision this summer that the defender was no longer part of his plans.
It looked like Man City would struggle to offload the veteran star ahead of the new season; however, it was reported on Friday that Walker will be joining Burnley ahead of the 25/26 campaign, and fans of the Manchester club have been reacting to the news.

Manchester City fans are happy to see Kyle Walker go
Walker is undoubtedly a Man City legend, but what has happened over the last year has left a bit of a sour taste in the mouths of many fans.
His performances, the way he left the club mid-season, and recent comments Walker made about giving up one of his Premier League titles to win the Europa League with Tottenham have all contributed to the way City fans have reacted to his exit, as many are happy to see him go.
One Man City fan reacted on X (formerly known as Twitter) to the news of Walker leaving for Burnley by writing: “Finally, he can play at his level.”
Another City supporter wrote: ” I wouldn’t be surprised if City were the ones paying them £5M to take him.”
A third Man City fan said: “Good, he will be relegated next season.”

Kyle Walker’s Man City career in numbers
Although Walker has annoyed some Man City fans over the last year, it should not be forgotten just how good and influential the right-back was during his eight years at the Etihad Stadium.
The 35-year-old racked up a total of 319 appearances for City, in which he produced six goals and 23 assists, while picking up 30 yellow cards and just the one red during the 25,714 minutes he played in sky blue.
Walker leaves Man City having helped the club win six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four EFL Cups, two Community Shields, a Champions League, a UEFA Super Cup, and a FIFA Club World Cup.
He was also included in the PFA Team of the Year three times during his spell at Man City, a career many footballers can only dream of having.
