Kyle Walker admitted that his teammate is a ‘nightmare’ in training after Manchester City booked their place in the Champions League final.

City eased into the final with a superb 4-0 win against reigning champions Real Madrid, keeping alive their hopes of winning the competition for the first time as part of a treble.

Pep Guardiola’s side dominated the first half, and went into half-time two goals up thanks to a Bernardo Silva brace.

Although the Spanish visitors imposed themselves a little more in the second half, Manuel Akanji and Julian Alvarez both scored to set up a final date with Inter Milan in Istanbul.

Jack Grealish was one of City’s standout performers, even if he didn’t manage to register a goal or assist.

The 27-year-old was at the heart of many of City’s attacking moves in the opening 45 minutes, creating chances for his teammates while running Dani Carvajal ragged.

After the interval he was forced to perform more defensive duties, pressing the Madrid backline and dropping deep to help City play out from defence when under pressure.

After the match both Grealish and City full-back Kyle Walker spoke to BT Sport, and the defender was asked about Grealish’s fine form of late.

“I’m good friends with him [Grealish] on and off the field,” Walker said.

“I tell him when he does well and I tell him when he does badly. I play against him directly in training and he’s a nightmare, he’s a nightmare to play against.”

Walker was asked what aspect of his game Grealish could improve, and he gave an honest response.

“At this point in the season he can’t really do much better because he is doing what he needs to do with the team,” he said.

Given how well Walker handled Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior across the two legs, the full-back couldn’t really pay Grealish a higher compliment.
