Manchester City might still have work to do to this after taking into account the statement signings both Liverpool and Arsenal have made.
Arne Slot’s side have already brought in the likes of Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong while Arsenal are set to sign Viktor Gyokeres after signing Martin Zubimendi and an experienced backup goalkeeper in Kepa Arrizabalaga.
While Manchester City have seemingly done smart business themselves by sealing the arrivals of Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Cherki, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Marcus Bettinelli, their 4-3 defeat against Al-Hilal illustrated that they are still a work-in-progress as a side.
With Tino Livramento set to cost £80 million, despite the Englishman being City’s next target in mind to sign, whether Pep Guardiola’s side are willing to break the bank to secure his services remains to be seen.

Man City sources confirm they are not interested in signing Denzel Dumfries
It looked like Manchester City had turned their attention to signing Denzel Dumfries as an alternative to Livramento.
Manchester City were in talks to sign Dumfries with Inter Milan, who registered 11 goals and six assists last season.
However, The Athletic have reported that while Manchester City are keen to bring in a new right-back, reports linking them to the Dutchman are “wide off the mark.”
Dumfries earned praise from Gary Neville as he starred last season, especially for his heroics against Barcelona — becoming the fourth player after Alessandro Del Piero, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino to provide two plus goals and two plus assists in a Champions League semi-final tie — a record neither Cristiano Ronaldo nor Lionel Messi have matched.
Man City eyeing Rayan Cherki’s former teammate as new right-back
Considering Dumfries has a £21.5 million release clause which is valid until mid-July, many would have expected Manchester City to pounce at the chance of signing him.
With Kyle Walker signing for Burnley as well, the 29-year-old would have been the seasoned replacement that City may theoretically be scouring the market for.
However, Manchester City News exclusively revealed in June that Kiliann Sildillia is a target for City.
Sildillia used to play alongside Cherki in France’s Under-21 side and with one year left on his contract at SC Freiburg, perhaps the Sky Blues may decide to take a punt on him later this summer.
