Manchester City News can exclusively reveal that Pep Guardiola’s side have held a longstanding interest in signing Kiliann Sildillia.

Signing a brand-new right-back is on the Sky Blues’ agenda and Tino Livramento has caught Manchester City’s eye as he continues to cement his status as one of the Premier League’s most gifted youngsters.

Flamengo defender Wesley Franca is on Manchester City’s radar as well this summer.

However, City’s interest in the SC Freiburg star has now come to the fore now.

Interestingly, Manchester City News understands that before Liverpool signed Jeremie Frimpong, they were keen on signing the Frenchman.

While Manchester City admire Wesley amongst several other clubs, there has been no progress in any deal to sign the Brazilian.

Similarly, Manchester City rate Livramento highly and believe he would the perfect successor to Kyle Walker, who is set to depart the Etihad Stadium but Newcastle do not wish to part ways with him.

If City do end up signing Sildillia, they will be bringing in a player who has played 12 times with Cherki for France’s U-21 side.

The pair have won six, drawn four and lost two out of the 12 outings while one of Cherki’s goals was assisted by his countryman as the French duo have largely fared well for their nation in tandem.

Manchester City may very well feel that exploring a deal for Sildillia might be worthwhile to help their marquee signing settle into his new surroundings, aside from the fact that the Freiburg full-back is a quality player.
