If Manchester City decide to make more signings, they will have to determine which players can truly strengthen their squad.
Having signed four players already, Pep Guardiola would be hoping that if more fresh faces are added to City’s roster, they can elevate the Sky Blues to the extent that his side can seriously challenge for silverware across multiple fronts.
Manchester City hugely admire Tino Livramento and with the former Chelsea defender being just 22, he is a player who could be an immediate upgrade on both Rico Lewis and Matheus Nunes at right-back and succeed Kyle Walker in the long run.
Rodrygo was offered to Manchester City, a player who is on the cusp of being universally considered world-class and has already won virtually everything there is to win at club level.

Man City no longer interested in signing Arsenal target Rodrygo
Rodrygo is one of the best wingers in the world and if Pep Guardiola was to play him in his natural position on the left flank, he could instantly become one of the standout players in the Premier League.
Both Manchester City and Arsenal are interested in Rodrygo as a potential summer signing.
While Real Madrid are ready to sell Rodrygo, journalist Jack Gaughan has revealed that City are not interested in signing the Brazilian, as he was asked by a fan on X: “Is there anything on Rodrygo (Real Madrid one)?”
Gaughan replied: “Club say no.”
Man City’s transfer plan after the FIFA Club World Cup
The 24-year-old’s talent knows no bounds, with Jude Bellingham telling CBS Sports that he is the most “gifted player” in Real Madrid’s squad.
Bellingham said in February: “Rodrygo, so underrated, you know, I think, for me, he’s probably the most talented and most gifted player in the squad.”
“I think the things he can do with a football, we’ll be messing around and he’ll flick the ball up somehow and you’ll go, ‘how did you do that?’ I’m trying to do it, twisting up my ankles and everything.”
However, Manchester City could hand Arsenal a free run at signing Rodrygo now despite knowing how much upside there is to signing him.
Pep Guardiola might like more new signings based on how he feels about his squad after the FIFA Club World Cup.
It will be interesting to see whether City bolster their roster on the attacking front or prioritise the addition of a new right-back, as Walker is set to depart the Etihad Stadium this summer.
All eyes will be on Jeremy Doku in particular to step up for Manchester City next season, considering they are no longer keen on signing Rodrygo and with Jack Grealish set to leave as well.
