Great news for Man City with Real Madrid now ready to sell £37m player who has been offered to Pep Guardiola

Manchester City will be prepared to make statements in the summer transfer window after what has been a tumultuous season for them.

Pep Guardiola has made City accustomed to unprecedented success and even the decision-makers at the Etihad Stadium will not accept sustained periods of time without winning either the Premier League or the Champions League.

Guardiola has approved the signing of Diogo Costa already — as it seems like Hugo Viana could be set to make the Portuguese goalkeeper his first summer signing.

Florian Wirtz and Morgan Gibbs-White interest Manchester City as well as bolstering the attacking midfield position is one of their most vital priorities in the summer.

Interestingly, Rodrygo Goes’ father met Pep Guardiola as the pair discussed the prospect of the Brazilian making a move to the English giants.

Real Madrid ready to sell Rodrygo amid Man City interest

In October last year as well, Rodrygo was apparently open to joining Manchester City.

Manchester City reportedly held talks to sign Rodrygo as well.

Reputed Spanish journalist Jose Pedrerol has revealed on El Chiringuito TV that Real Madrid are now willing to part ways with the former Santos winger: “If an offer comes in for Rodrygo, he won’t stay at Real Madrid. He’ll be sold.”

“Vinicius will stay, and so will [Kylian] Mbappe. Rodrygo’s case is obvious. He already raised the possibility of leaving in the summer if he didn’t play. He’s played a lot but he hasn’t performed as expected.”

“If an offer comes in, it will be heard and you will not be held back if you want to leave.”

Bad news for Jeremy Doku as his future is already uncertain

Jeremy Doku’s future is uncertain at Manchester City and he could be looking to leave in favour of a move to La Liga.

Journalist Steve Kay recently revealed: “I had a conversation with someone very close to Man City, a very interesting conversation, we spoke about a lot of things, the players who could be leaving, we already know De Bruyne is leaving, there was talk about Doku, [Bernardo] Silva and [Mateo] Kovacic.

“Doku, I’m being told he’s quite unsettled there, he hasn’t really settled since he arrived, and the way he’s performed on and off, I can see that. I’m being told he wants to go to Spain.”

If Manchester City end up signing Rodrygo, the Belgian’s future might become an even bigger uncertainty as the Real Madrid technician is a natural left-winger anyway.

The £37.9 million (Athletic) man has not had his best season, however and it might be a risk for City to secure his services as a part of their expected squad rebuild this summer.
