The Premier League fixtures for the 2024/25 season have been released and here’s how Manchester City’s first five games compare with the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United.

Manchester City have already completed an unprecedented four-peat after reclaiming their Premier League crown last season and will be aiming to go one step further in the new campaign.

Pep Guardiola’s future at the club remains uncertain and if the 2024/25 campaign is his last at the Etihad, then City will be determined to ensure he goes out on top.

Yet, Arsenal are sure to be a thorn in their side once again, Liverpool and Chelsea could be interesting under new management and Manchester United will be aiming for vast improvements.

The reigning Premier League champions will get the season underway when they take on Chelsea in a difficult trip.

Arsenal ran City right down to the wire last season and will be hoping to make a strong start next time around in a bid to finally overthrow the Blues.

It could be a difficult season for Liverpool as they adapt to life without Jurgen Klopp and Arne Slot has been handed a difficult/comfortable first five fixtures.

Chelsea are another side that will have a new manager in the 2024/25 season after Enzo Maresca took charge following the sacking of Mauricio Pochettino.
