Rodri has been named UEFA Nations League Best Player, after he helped Spain to win the tournament for the first time.
The Manchester City midfielder featured last night against Croatia.
He was playing for the second time since scoring the winning goal for City in the Champions League final against Inter.
Rodri played for Spain against Italy on Thursday and helped them to a 2-1 win.
And last night, Rodri produced another simply brilliant performance in a final.
Spain actually ended up winning on penalties, with Dani Carvajal converting the decisive kick after the game had finished 0-0 after extra-time.
But it was another fine showing from Rodri.

Following Spain’s UEFA Nations League triumph, Rodri was officially handed the Best Player award.

This follows him receiving the Man of the Match award against Inter just over a week ago.
According to Squawka, he is the first player ever to receive these two accolades, meaning he has made history.
He is the third winner of the Best Player gong.
City star Bernardo Silva won it in 2019. Then Sergio Busquets – a player Rodri will no doubt be aiming to surpass in the game – won it in 2021.

This just cements Rodri’s place as the number one defensive midfielder in the game right now.
The 26-year-old has been an absolutely incredible performer for City this season and was crucial in the journey to the Treble.
Pep Guardiola used the £63 million star at almost every turn, and one wonders if City would have been as successful as they ultimately were had he not done that.
Rodri is an exceptional footballer.

And it is absolutely brilliant that he’s winning these personal accolades, because it brings about a spotlight he really deserves.
City have headline-grabbing superstars like Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland, which sometimes means the job Rodri does gets a bit overlooked.
But Rodri, who Danny Murphy branded ‘phenomenal’ recently, might just be City’s most important player.
